The Corporation’s initial small but bold entrepreneurial concept has emerged to become Canada's most-shopped retailer. Nowadays, Canadian Tire maintains 1,000 stores and gas bars across the country.

The Challenge: The Art Design Department has contacted COMMbits in search of a knowledgeable and reliable vendor who could take over the Department’s FTP hosting functions. The Department was looking for an on-line solution to allow sharing of large files between its team of in-house designers and a large & diverse group of other stakeholders around the world.

The solution: COMMbits already had access to world-class hosting infrastructure through its partnering Tier-1 premium data center and a wealth of Server products to satisfy any modern Business Web Hosting requirement. However, COMMbits went beyond just providing the infrastructure. A custom process was put in place, which allowed stakeholders to securely access the on-line resources without any other special software or FTP client required, other than a standard web browser.
