Full Story:

The National Insurance Conference of Canada (NICC)In February, 2007 COMMbits had launched the first version of this web site for the sole purpose of showcasing the National Insurance Conference of Canada (NICC), Canada's pre-eminent insurance conference for senior executives of the property & casualty industry. The annual NICC for 2007 was held in Montreal, from September 30th to October 2nd, 2007.

Following the huge success of the 2007 Conference, NICC identified certain areas of its initial web site that could use a face-lift and commissioned COMMbits to develop the second version of its web presence.

The new site is now multilingual (even "remembers" the selected language of the same visitor in-between subsequent visits) and furnishes a new section designed to hold archives for past Conferences.

The main addition is a new multimedia section, which showcases photos and streaming video from past Conferences, starting with the one held in 2007 in Montreal. Utilizing Flash and scripting technologies the site is capable to deliver streaming video directly at the visitor's web browser, without the need of any plug-in or any other special software.

Also new is a dynamic navigational structure that allows the website owners in collaboration with COMMbits to quickly expand the main menu tabs at no extra cost.

Content is managed at the web site owners' side using the successful COMMbits DOME Website Content Management System.

Currently under development is also a new system that will be integrated with the new website and will facilitate on-line reservations for future Conferences.

The new site is still at niccanada.com.
