Full Story:

Professional percussionist Gino Mirizio – working as a drummer and percussionist in the industry for 20 years - was already familiar with the COMMbits high quality of website design and engineering work from previous projects. Along with his brother Joe he started GP Drum Company to showcase their new line of fine, handmade percussion instruments, and he looked nowhere else for building their startup’s new showcase website.

Both Gino and Joe poured their passion into their new instruments designs. Their Cajon design and the revolutionary KickBox design both truly inspire percussionists to play with passion and they wanted their new website to reflect the same passion.

COMMbits designed a custom website skin (also known as “shell”) that reflects both the passion and the color of the wooden instruments, and created placeholders to display photos from the tedious construction phase in addition to instrument close-up shots.

We couldn’t find a better way to showcase the actual product other than actually displaying a video clip of Gino himself performing the instrument. The video clip appropriately found its way on the home page and is using a platform-independent video player.

The new website of the Mirizio brothers is live at www.gpdrumcompany.com.
