Full Story:
Don Hathaway approached COMMbits with ideas about developing an online blog, used as a business tool to promote his new book on Corporate Board Governance. More analysis revealed that such a website would benefit from the development of a broader social networking, where end-users take “ownership” of content.
Subsequently, COMMbits developed a system of commercial and open source components to create a social network, masterfully and seamlessly integrated into a single, unified website.
Specifically, the project included the COMMbits e-Publisher Article Management software, a commercial, multi-user, multi-author comprehensive solution that allows website owners and webmasters to publish articles and other content online, including multimedia.
The project also included a database-driven online discussion forums system, a rendition based on the successful and proven PHPBB open- source bulletin board system.
Utilizing its Creative Design Services COMMbits wrapped-up the integrated components into a new, custom-designed website "skin", especially designed for this client.
