 Empire Foods Ltd. was searching for an online product catalogue solution when the Company’s business manager Mr. Peter Tserpes talked to COMMbits. It quickly became evident that utilizing COMMbits technologies not only the Firm’s product offerings could be showcased online, but different pricing could be made available for different classes of clients.
In search for a new creative design and layout that would immediately tell the Empire Foods story to the Company’s business clients, COMMbits involved its seasoned creative graphic designer Konstantine Arnokouros. Through his design Konstantine managed to capture the magnitude of products available to clients, while staying in touch with the Company’s already established branding.
COMMbits offers complete e-commerce applications and website solutions for electronic storefronts such as Empire Foods Ltd, which require wholesale functionality, as well as e-store implementations for retail consumer use. It integrates a successful e-Commerce Shopping Cart software system powerful enough to display different pricing to different visitors, depending on their retail or specific wholesale status with the Company. The solution is complete with business web hosting utilizing the COMMbits Premium, Tier-1 Business Data Center.
COMMbits adds value to the already-existing core Shopping Cart Open-Source code by carefully integrating the base system with various other add-on components and by rewriting blocks of existing code to better suit the business needs of each project separately. For example, in the case of Empire Foods Ltd., COMMbits modified the e-store in a manner that no pricing is shown at all, until a user has registered.
COMMbits is an authorized Channel Partner of a specialized Payment Processing Firm in Canada; therefore, the e-commerce functionality in a COMMbits-developed e-store system can be completed with seamless integration of a payment gateway and payment transaction processing system, which allows customers to pay online with major credit cards. The fully automated system is secure and PCI-compliant with the processes and procedures of major Financial Institutions in Canada and the US.
