With over 4 years in software and web development experience and bone-cracking logic, Norman always approaches the solution of problems with the most analytical, systematic and professional manner.
Norman is using the latest, state-of-the art technologies and methodologies at his work, including .NET (the latest innovation from Microsoft), Unified Modeling Language (UML), XML, Java and C++, Object Oriented Analysis, programming paradigms and techniques, client/server & 3-tier architectures and Data Modelling (ERA). He is also experienced in Visual Basic (VB), Perl, JavaScript, VBScript, Php, SQL, Crystal Reports, Cold Fusion, DBase, and UNIX shell scripts.
His recent work includes the development of a multi-platform system (CD, Internet) showcasing product information of a luggage company, and development of a 3-tier client/server application for a flooring company, also using UML and VB6.
At PlayCentric, an e-commerce portal, Norman enchanced the company?s Cold Fusion Groupware Web application, re-designed the database back-end for on-line shopping carts, developed middleware software facilitating data exchange with partners and created several reporting systems. He has also served as the Senior Internet Developer of Carbiz.com, a portal for automotive dealers. His work included the development of a "Do It Yourself" web authoring system for automotive dealers and a back-end authentication system allowing users to securely access their profiles using the Internet. He was also involved in the development and support of the company?s off-the-web software systems.
Norman holds a Professional Diploma in Computer Programming and Internet applications from the Institute for computer studies (Toronto-ON), and he has completed a 3-year course in Commerce at Aberdeen College of Commerce in the U.K, in addition to a 3-year course in Aircraft Maintenance from the H.K. Far East Flying & Technical School (Hong Kong). Norman speaks English and Cantonese
